James Wilson Kelley, 99 of Baldwinville, Massachusetts died on July 5, 2011. He was a longtime resident of Wellesley, Massachusetts and Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. James was born July 29, 1911 in Addison, Pennsylvania, the eldest son of the late Rev. E. Wilson Kelley and the late Louise Caroline Margarita (Dombart) Kelley. After completing his Masters Degree in Economics in Pittsburgh, he relocated to Boston as a doctoral candidate in 1934. He was a professor of economics at Boston University and held several administrative positions during a 41 year career in education. He and his wife Marjorie retired to Wolfeboro in 1978 where they both were active in the community. James was predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie and his three brothers. He is survived by his son, David Kelley and wife Jane of Damariscotta, Maine and his daughter Marsha Golden of Westbrough, Massachusetts. He is also survived by grandchildren Michael Kelley and wife Gretchen, Mark Kelley and wife Michelle, Elizabeth Smeds and husband Derek, Kelley Golden and Dana Golden and six great grandsons Brendan Kelley, Sean Kelley, Connor Kelley, Reid Kelley, Corbin Smeds and Quinn Smeds. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire July 29, 2011 at 10 a.m. A private burial will follow the service. In lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to the Memorial Gifts Fund of the First Congregational Church of Wolfeboro, NH. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro is assisting the family with the arrangements.
