Carol Jean Chase

Tamworth-Carol Jean (Woodward) Chase, 69 of Chinook Trail, Tamworth, died August 24, 2012 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. Born in North Conway March 16, 1943 daughter of the late Forrest and Mary (Leavitt) Woodward she has lived all of her life in Tamworth except for few years in California while her husband was in the Navy. Carol loved to garden was an avid NASCAR fan and in her younger years enjoyed hunting and fishing. Pre-deceased by her husband Richard Preston Chase she is survived by her daughter Stephanie Chase of South Portland, ME, a son Vincent Chase of Tamworth, 3 brothers Freeman, of Colebrook, NH, Robert of Tamworth, Melvin of Tamworth, 2 sisters Marilyn Elliot of Albany, Janet Sanborn of Conway, and a grandson James Ulitz. A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home of West Ossipee is assisting the family with the arrangements.
