Alton Bay-Theodore “Ted” Lewi Cole Jr., 80 of Trask Rd., Alton Bay died September 5, 2012 at his home. Born Nov. 21, 1931 in Schenectady, NY son of the late Theodore Lewi and Mary (Morkin) Cole. He has lived in Alton since 1984. He was instrumental in the development of the Alton Town Recycling Center. After graduating from Colegate University,Ted served his country during the Korean War with the United States Navy on the USS Wasp as the Assistant Navigator. In 1955 he joined Eastman Kodak Company and his 29 year career took him to various parts of the country, lastly to New York as Regional Sales Manager, Consumer Division, NYC. Ted enjoyed golf and he and his late wife Jeanne (Tompkins) were long time members at Kingswood Golf Club in Wolfeboro. They also enjoyed traveling, and sharing photos of the places they visited. Pre-Deceased by his wife in 2000 he is survived by 4 sons, Jim of Concord (and girlfriend Jan), NH, John (Leasy) of Austin, TX, Bill of Danbury, CT, Tom (Jeannie) of Arvada, CO a daughter Mary (Joe) Czachowski of Scotch Plains, NJ and 7 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints Church, 258 S Main St, Wolfeboro on Oct. 20 at 11:00. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Central NH VNA and Hospice, PO Box 1620, Wolfeboro, NH 03894. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
