Pauline Marion Steele

Wolfeboro, NH-Pauline Marion (Crosby) Steele, 80 of Clow Rd., Wolfeboro, NH passed away Nov. 16, 2012 while being treated at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro with her family at her side. Born in Melrose, MA May 17, 1932 daughter of the late Melvin Seth and Eleanor (Brown) Crosby she grew up in Melrose. Pauline graduated from Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in 1953 and worked for Broward General Hospital as well as VNA & Hospice while living in Plantation, FL and Ft. Lauderdale, FL for over 40 yrs. Retiring to Wolfeboro in 1997 she worked at G.P.C. as the camp nurse until 2001. Pauline was active in the Jaycee’s, Junior Women’s Club, Ft. Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Aux., Eastern Star and supported her husband Bradley in Masonry. She enjoyed camping, gardening and crafting of all sorts. Pre-deceased by her husband of 56 years Bradley Earle Steele, she is survived by a son Bradley Earle “Lee” Steele Jr. of Pompano Beach, FL, a daughter Cheryl Steele Roth of Manchester, NH and 5 grandchildren. Services will be held at the First Congregational Church in Wolfeboro, 1:00 PM December 1. There will be a reception immediately following. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Reading, MA at a later date. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro is assisting the family with the arrangements.
