Moultonboro, NH-Albertine (Parker) Burns, 89 of Garwood Lane, died January 12, 2013 at her home in Moultonboro. Born March 18, 1923 in Everett, MA daughter of the late John Stanley and Migonne (Guay) Parker she grew up in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School. Albertine has summered and vacationed in Moultonboro since 1929. Her parents built a vacation home there in 1945 which later became a full time residence in 1968. In 1988 she moved back full time to the lake from Concord, MA with her husband of 63 years. She was known and loved by both family and friends for her infectious laugh and the cheerfulness with which she greeted the world. She was an extraordinary seamstress making all of her own clothes and many of her families’ clothes. She loved swimming and snorkeling continuing to do so even when living with oxygen became a part of her daily life. Survivors include her husband James L. Burns of Moultonboro, 2 sons Timothy Burns of Melrose, MA, Frederick Burns of Auckland, New Zealand, a daughter Kathleen Burns of Somerville, MA, 2 grandchildren Ursula Burns Maybury and Angus Burns Maybury both of New Zealand. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday January 19, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 300 Route 25, Meredith, NH. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro is assisting the family with the arrangements.
