Wolfeboro-Arlene Bean 86, of Wolfeboro passed away January 28, 2013 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth. She was born in Lynn, MA August 9, 1926 daughter of the late Harry and Gertrude (Richmond) Henry. She moved to Wolfeboro in 1947. Arlene worked as a waitress at different hotels and restaurants, received her CNA from Huggins Hospital and worked at Mountain View Nursing Home for a few years. Before retiring she was the head housekeeper at Brewster Academy. Arlene was Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #18 and a member of the Wolfeboro Senior Citizen’s. In her life she loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed her wildlife, animals in the yard and feeding wild turkeys, deer, squirrels and her cat. Pre-Deceased by a daughter Judith Smith and her “Soul Mate” Lawrence A. Smart, she is survived by Eight children, David Marble of Largo, FL, Deborah Bean of Casper, WY, Cindy-Lu Bean of Rochester, NH, Richard Bean of Cranston, RI, Holly Bean of Tuftonboro, NH, Sue-Anne Taylor of Annapolis, MD, Leon Bean of Wolfeboro, Melonie Smart of Fellsmere, FL, a brother Richard Clough of South Berwick, ME, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be 1:00 PM Feb. 9, at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro, NH. Burial will be in the spring at Lakeview Cemetery.
