Tuftonboro-Gisela Lovatt, 93 of Tuftonboro, passed away peacefully at Huggins Hospital on Monday, February 25, 2013. She resided in Tuftonboro with her late husband Richard Lovatt for over 30 years. She loved the mountain views and being surrounded by nature and the many birds and animals that included her on their route. She was a recognized NH Craftsman, creating beautiful pottery, she enjoyed skiing and hiking and photography. Gisela received her degree in medicine from the University of Munic, in Germany before coming to the United States in 1948. While working with Boston's Blood Grouping Laboratory, she participated in the first inter-uterine transfusion for RH negative babies. She is survived by her daughter, Karen, of Londonderry, 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed. A Memorial Service will be at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro during visitation Saturday March 2, from 2-5 PM.
