Joan Converse Roberts

Meredith, NH-Joan (Converse) Roberts, almost 83, died May 28, 2013 at Laconia Center Genesis Eldercare in Laconia, NH. Joan was born in Laconia, NH June 28, 1930 daughter of the late Rudolph and Jessie (Sturtevant) Converse. She was a teacher and a musician teaching in the Deerfield, NH, Middletown, CT and Alton, NH school systems. She also taught private lessons in piano and recorder and conducted classes in Child Evangelism with her husband in Florida. She served as organist at several churches in FL; St. Petersburg and Pinellas Park, also in Hartford, CT, East Holderness NH Church and Meredith NH Advent Christian Calvary Baptist Church for many years and also the Episcopal Church in Meredith. Pre-Deceased by her husband Huntington Roberts and her brother Donald Eugene Davis she is survived by 4 sisters Jean Day Juraska, Marjorie Paquette Geery, Patricia Ann Converse Haire, Doris Converse Heath Packard, a brother Rudolph Kenneth Converse, 32 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held in early September at the Calvary Bible Church (Advent Christian) on St. James St., Meredith, NH. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
