Wolfeboro, NH- James A. McGeady (“Gater”), 71 of Wesley Lane, Wolfeboro, NH died June 10, 2013 at his home. Born in Bayonne, NJ on May 21, 1942 the son of the late James A. and Edina (Scott) McGeady, he lived and raised his family in Woodstock, NY for 26 years, then returned to Bayonne, NJ prior to moving to Wolfeboro, NH a year ago. James was loyal to his family, faith, country, and work. He served proudly with the United States Army Military Police in Vietnam. He attended St Peter's Prep where he was a key member of the 1959 NJ State Champion basketball team. He graduated with a B.S. in Economics from Saint Peters College. He retired from IBM after 30 years, and also retired from AIG where he worked for 10 years as a senior technology leader. He was a loving, generous and modest husband, father and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Bonnie (Serafin) McGeady of Wolfeboro, 2 sons James A. McGeady and his wife Nicole of Sudbury, MA, Edward K. McGeady of Brooklyn, NY, 2 sisters Edina Soboleski of Waterbury, CT and Mary McGeady of Neptune, NJ, and 2 grandchildren Ella McGeady and Kylie McGeady. He also leaves his dog and best buddy, Dylan. A private Memorial Mass will be held for immediate family at St. Katharine Drexel Church in Alton, NH.
