Doris Ann Johnson

Doris A. Johnson died peacefully on July 31, 2013 in the company of her family. Born January 13, 1920 in Jersey City, NJ to John and Alice Peterson and raised by her beloved stepmother Ethel Peterson, Doris lived in New Jersey and Massachusetts for many years, retiring to Wolfeboro in 1973. She was pre-deceased by her husband Franklyn Johnson and daughter-in-law Linda Johnson. She leaves three children: son Lynn and his wife Gail of Wolfeboro, son Bruce of Augusta, Georgia, and daughter Judy Dudgeon and her husband Dan of Acton, Massachusetts. She also leaves seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. While not a native, she definitely felt most at home in Wolfeboro. She worked many years for the annual Huggins Fair, enjoyed golfing at Kingswood Country Club and antiquing. There will be no calling hours and no public service. The immediate family will honor her at a private gathering.
