Bernice Philomena Hitzelberger

Wolfeboro-Bernice Philomena Hitzelberger, 96 of 83 Rollingwood Drive, Wolfeboro died August 2 at Wolfeboro Bay Care in Wolfeboro. Bernice was born in Erie, PA March 30, 1917 daughter of the late Jacob and Philomena (Liebel) Hitzelberger. Her mother died shortly after she was born. Bernice was raised by her Aunt and Uncle Katherine Liebel Butler and Frank Butler along with their daughter Helen Butler Gregory living in Wolfeboro and Yonkers, NY. Bernice is a graduate of Brewster Free Academy class of 1936. She then worked for Western Electric in New York City, retiring after 38 Years. In 2005 she moved back to Wolfeboro and resided at Sugar Hill Assisted Living Facility. She is survived by 3 nieces Joy Gregory Sweeney of Wolfeboro and Daytona Beach, FL, Kathy Gregory Barnard of Wolfeboro and Carolyn Hammer of Erie, PA. There will be no services at the request of Bernice.
