Ralph C. Steeves

Wolfeboro, NH-Ralph Clayton Steeves, 80, of Winterhaven Rd., died August 27, 2013 at Golden View Nursing Home in Meredith, NH. Born June 16, 1933 in Boston, MA, son of the late Austin and Esther (Steeves) Steeves he retired to Wolfeboro 17 years ago and Wintered in Green Valley, AZ after vacationing in Wolfeboro since 1985, previously living in Everett, MA. Ralph served his country with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict serving state side. He graduated from Northeastern University and worked as a Chemist for Arthur D. Little Corporation in Cambridge, MA. As an avid gardener he was very active with the Green Valley Garden Club. He was also a member of the American Chemical Society for over 50 years. Pre-Deceased by a daughter Therese A. Hery and a brother Robert Steeves he leaves his wife Loretta (Pizzano) Steeves of Wolfeboro and Green Valley, a daughter Marianne P. Russell and her husband Warren of Burlington, MA, a son David A. Steeves and his wife Susan of Everett, MA, and 7 grandchildren. He also leaves a sister, Shirley Strauss of Lynnfield, MA. Calling Hours are 9 – 11 AM Friday August 30 at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 PM at St. Katharine Drexell Church, Route 28, Alton, NH. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, North Main St., Wolfeboro.
