Edwin Reginald More

Edwin R. More Edwin R. More, 78, passed away peacefully in North Conway, New Hampshire on October 27, 2013. He was born in Springfield, MA, the son of Ernest and Valma More. He grew up in West Hartford and graduated from Hall High School in 1953. He attended MIT and graduated with a B.A. in Aeronautical Engineering from Boston University. After a stint at Kaman Aerospace, he enjoyed a 30 year career at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT, receiving two U.S. Patents for his innovations. His lifelong love of flying took many forms, including gliding, small aircraft, ultralights and radio controlled models. He was a lifetime member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and Academy of Model Aeronautics. He is predeceased by his loving wife Kirsti Kjeldsen who passed away in 2004. He is survived by son Jay More and wife Brenda of Panama City, FL, daughter Karen Ruprecht and husband Michael of Strongsville, Ohio, son Kenneth More and wife Mary Ellen of Agawam, MA, stepson Rick Kjeldsen and wife Lorraine of Hyde Park, NY, stepdaughter Deena Durant of Suffield, CT and former wife Barbara(Hopper) of Panama City, FL. He leaves grandchildren Joseph, Jonathan, Alexis and Tyler More, Tatianna Rattelle, Michelle Durant, and Joseph Kjeldsen. He was a member of the Conway Village Congregational Church in Conway, NH from which he enjoyed a deep sense of community. Memorial services will be held there at 2:00 PM on Nov. 9, 2013 with a reception directly afterward. Address is 132 Main St., Conway, NH 03818. A second remembrance may be held at a later date in the Springfield/Hartford area.
