Donald "Rocky" Rockstrom

West Ossipee-Donald “Rocky” C. Rockstrom, 86 of West Ossipee, died April 9, 2014 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.   Born in Boston, MA June 12, 1927 son of the late Carl and Mildred (Forbes) Rockstrom, he has lived in the Beacon Hill area of Boston most of his life prior to moving to West Ossipee in 2001.   Rocky was the president of the EAA chapter in West Ossipee since July of 2001 and loved to fly with his aviation community of Ossipee.   Rocky leaves his extended family from Boston Edison Company where he was employed for 54 years as the division manager of the engineer department.   Pre-deceased by his wife Josephine Anne Rockstrom and a brother Howard he was a loving dad to Ingrid of Indiana, and was a cherished step dad to Ann, Marion, James, Denise, Jo, Katie and Christine he is also survived by a nephew Jahn, niece Lone, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren with the 11th expected in September.   Rocky enjoyed taking his black lab Rudy on long hikes as well as car rides to visit his village neighbors.   Calling Hours will be 5-8PM Monday April 14 at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service 2395 White Mountain Highway (Route 16) West Ossipee, NH.   A Funeral Mass will be 10AM Tuesday April 15 at St Joseph’s Church in Center Ossipee.   In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rocky’s memory the Catholic Medical Center Hospital, 100 MacGregory St., Manchester, NH 03102.
