Wolfeboro, NH-Jeanne F. (McCarthy) Bryant, 86, of Dead Horse Hill Rd., Wolfeboro, died Tuesday, August 12, at Mountain View Community in Ossipee, NH. Born November 30, 1927 in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Van Etten) McCarthy, Jeanne was raised by her uncle and aunt, John and Helen Van Etten in Brighton. She resided in Holbrook, MA during most of her married life and moved to Wolfeboro, her lifelong summer home, upon her husband’s retirement 26 years ago. Jeanne was a graduate of the Academy of the Assumption in Wellesley Hills, MA. She attended Emmanuel College in Boston, earning a bachelor’s degree in business. She was pre-deceased in 2010 by her husband of 59 years, Robert C. Bryant. She is survived by her children, Virginia Cain of Holbrook, MA, Patricia Roy of Sterling, MA, Robert Bryant of Bradford, MA, Frederick Bryant of Winthrop MA, Anne Lennon of Wolfeboro, NH and 12 grandchildren. She also leaves a brother-in-law and his wife, James and Marie Bryant of Wolfeboro, and a sister in-law, Jean Bryant of Brewster, MA and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Friday August 15, at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday August 16, St. Katherine Drexel Church in Alton. Burial will be Monday, August 18, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
