Marjorie Bennett Greenleaf, Age 84, of Sudbury, MA died the 14TH day of September, 2014 at Mineral Springs Genesis Healthcare of Conway, NH. Born in Wrentham, she was the daughter of the late Simon Bennett who died in 1957. Following her graduation from the Wrentham High School Class of 1947, she attended the Massachusetts Memorial Hospital’s School of Nursing where she earned her R.N. Degree in 1950. Formerly married to Dr. Kenneth Greenleaf, she leaves four children: Nancy Greenleaf Canty and her husband Peter of Lafayette, LA and Jackson, NH; Dr. Robert Greenleaf and his wife Barbara of Newfield, ME; Thomas Greenleaf and his deceased life partner Michael Shaldone of Marlborough, MA; and Theodore Greenleaf and his wife Susan of Tyngsboro, MA. Her six grandchildren are Scott Canty of Alexandria, VA; Elizabeth Fliss of San Rafael, CA; Mark Greenleaf of Fort Myers, FL.; David Greenleaf of Ellington, CT; Brian Greenleaf of West Hartford, CT; and Michael Greenleaf of Lexington, MA. She leaves 8 great grandchildren behind as well. Additionally she leaves her two sisters, Marion Clover of Attleboro, MA and Dianne Boucher of Norfolk, MA as well as her brother John Bennett of Tucson, AZ—along with several nieces and nephews. Marjorie served her community through volunteer work in Girl Scouts-Boy Scouts, 4H Brush & Bridal Club, Marlboro Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, Mass. Memorial Alumni Association, American Red Cross, School health clinics, Sudbury Board of Health, and home room mother for all 4 children. She was employed and managed Lady Laurie’s at Boston Post Rd. Her hobbies were painting, floral design, gardening, but most of all she treasured the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
