Mary Louise Meader Sabin Blakeslee September 26, 1936 – August 15. 2014 Mrs. Mary Louise Meader Sabin Blakeslee of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away on August 15, 2014. She was born on September 26, 1936, to Howard and Helen Sabin of North Conway, New Hampshire. She married Colonel Rollin Quentin Blakeslee on August 15, 1959. Preceding her in death were her parents, grandparents Charles and Charlotte Sabin and Henry Hudson and Mattie May Meader, and grand-daughter Raechel Blakeslee. She attended Carpenter School and Brewster Free Academy in Wolfeboro, NH, graduating in 1954. She graduated from Brown University in 1958 with a degree in the Classics. Mrs. Blakeslee was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps; she served in Quantico, VA; El Toro MCAS, CA; and Cherry Point MCAS, NC. And, she was a member of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She is survived by her loving children, sons Eric (Karen) and Phillip (Sharon) of Raleigh and daughters Betsy (Jeff) of Valley Center, CA, Valerie (Alan) Tucker of Hamilton, VA and Lee Goetz of Kent, WA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, her brother Rolfe (Peggy) Saben of Mineral, VA, and a nephew Christopher (Georgia) Saben of Centreville, VA. A memorial service with family and friends will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 11:00 am.
