Almon Junior Grout

Madison, NH-Almon “Junior” L. Grout Jr., 78 of Allard Hill Rd., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Nov. 13, 2014 at home in Madison, NH. Born March 5, 1936 in Greenville, ME son of the late Almon L. Grout Sr and Velma (Ducharme) Nye he lived most of his life in Greenville moving to the Mt. Washington Valley in 1973. Junior served his country with the United States Army. After his discharge from the Army he married the love of his life, Sheila on October 10, 1958. He then worked as a logger for many years for the Scott Paper Company in Northern Maine. In New Hampshire he worked for Eastern Slope Farm as a head herdsman, MacDonald’s Motors as a detailer and he owned and operated Eagle Eye Property Maintenance. Pre-deceased by his wife Sheila (Gary) Grout, his first born son Almon L. Grout III, and his sister Muriel Farnham. He leaves a sister Josephine Bailey of New Sharon, ME. A daughter Michelle Flannagan and husband David of Ossipee, NH. Three sons Dwayne Grout of Center Conway, NH David Grout and wife Giselle of Madison, Gary Grout and partner Brianne Dunleavy of Center Conway. Grandchildren Samantha Grout and partner Rob Durkee, Ashley Almechatt and husband Youness, DJ Brennan, Felicia Baker and wife Casey, Timothy Hodge, Justin Hodge, and Katie Grout and three great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Ella, and Finley. All of whom wish to give special thanks from the bottom of their hearts to his nephew Dennis Farnham and to Shanna Walker for all of their endless support. Services will be in the spring in Greenville, ME. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of West Ossipee, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
