Wolfeboro, NH-Wallace “Wally” Arthur O’Brien, 64, of 458 Center St., Wolfeboro, died Nov. 15, 2014 at Mass. General Hospital in Boston. Wally was born in Elizabeth, NJ Sept. 11, 1950, son of the late Arthur Forrest and Lorraine (Luhn) O’Brien. He began summering in Wolfeboro as a child in 1958 and then continued the tradition with his wife and children in 1987. In the fall of 2012, he and his wife Connie moved from Audubon, PA to Wolfeboro at which time they purchased the 1810 House and ran it as a bed and breakfast and antique barn. Everyone who met Wally knew he was a kind, non-judgmental, caring and charismatic person who, above all else, loved his family. In addition to his family, Wally had a great love of music, fixing antique cars, antiquing, boating, and, of course, tapping into his creative sense of humor for a good pun. Survivors include his wife Connie L. (Gordon) O’Brien of Wolfeboro; a daughter, Heather Lynn (O’Brien) and her husband, Joseph Altieri of Manayunk, PA; a son, Christopher Arthur O’Brien, and his girlfriend, Sarah Cieslik of Lancaster, PA; a brother, Forrest William O’Brien and his wife, Jeanne (Cohn) O’Brien of Milford, NJ; and two grandchildren, Jude Arthur and Jasper Leonis O’Brien. A memorial service will be held at All Saints Church in Wolfeboro on Saturday, November 22 at 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Amyloid Research Fund (http://www.bu.edu/amyloid/donate/form/). The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro is assisting the family with the arrangements.
