Tuftonboro-Paul M. Bennett Sr., 68 of Cross Neck Rd., Mirror Lake died March 4, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. Born November 12, 1946 in Wolfeboro, NH son of the late Douglas L. and Marjorie L. (Porter) Bennett he has lived in the area all of his life. Paul worked as a self-employed contractor operating Bennett Construction and operated two barges on Lake Winnipesaukee many years. He enjoyed many things around his home such as gardening, woodworking, feeding the birds, fabricating many things he needed for his business and his home, cooking and he loved his dogs. Pre-Deceased by a son Brian D. Bennett, he is survived by his wife Donna L. (Charles) Bennett, 2 sons and their wives Paul Mark and Monica Bennett Jr of Greensboro, NC, James Douglas and Brooke Bennett of Rindge, NH, a daughter Gyme-Lynn Bennett of Wolfeboro, 2 step sons Gary L. and his wife Annette Glidden Jr. of Orlando, FL, David A. Glidden and his girl-friend Johanna Kent of Wolfeboro, a step daughter Belinda A. and her husband Charlie Libby of Wolfeboro, a sister Thea Ann and her husband James Rogers of Mirror Lake and Savanah, GA, 12 grandchildren, 3 nephews and a long-time family friend Keri Goutermont. A time of visitation will be March 21, 11AM to 1 PM. Followed by a celebration of Paul’s Life at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro, NH. Burial will be in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Paul’s name to: VNA and Hospice of Southern Carroll County and Vicinity, PO Box 1620, Wolfeboro, NH 03894 or Amy’s Treat, PO Box 2234, Dover, NH 03821 which is a fund that helps cancer patients at Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, NH.
