Ernest L. White Jr

Freedom-Ernest Laburton White Jr, 89 of 291 Huckins Rd., Freedom died April 5, at his home. Born in Lynn, MA September 15, 1925 son of the late Ernest Laburton and Mildred (Low) White, he grew up in Lynn, lived most of his adult life in Stamford, CT, moving to Freedom 15 years ago after summering there all of his life. Ernie graduated from Tufts University. He served his country with the United States Navy from 1943 to 1946 serving on the USS Missouri and the USS Wisconsin. He worked as a salesman in the metal industries and ran his own business ISC Inc. for 20 years, exporting aircraft material. He was a downhill skier, cross country skier and enjoyed reading and traveling. Survivors include his wife of 67 years Shirley (Humphries) White of Freedom, a daughter Wendy E. White of Freedom, a son Steven H. White, and his wife Kathleen, of Chapel Hill, NC, and a brother Robert N. White of Homestead, FL. Ernie is also survived by two grandsons, Ryan H. White of Washington, DC and Christopher D. White, and wife Carmen, of Lakewood, CO. A Memorial Service was held at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service 2395 White Mtn. Highway (Route 16) West Ossipee, NH.
