Stephen Walter Hand

Freedom, NH-Stephen Walter Hand, 62 of Huckins Rd. died suddenly April 30 at home in Freedom. Born December 10, 1952 in Dorchester, MA son of Ann (Donovan) and the late Walter Cushman Hand. Stephen grew up in Walpole, MA, attended Walpole Schools and Berklee College of Music. He loved music and was a guitar player belonging to several bands over the years including Grand Hotel and most recently the Southern Impact Band in Florida. He held a pilots license and was an avid pilot flying 2 and 4 seater planes. Stephen was a barefoot water skier and worked as a chef in several Florida Restaurants. Moving to Freedom 3 years ago from Florida he has worked for the Yankee Smokehouse as a cook in West Ossipee. Pre-Deceased by his father Walter Cushman Hand, he is survived by his mother Ann (Donovan) Hand of Freedom, 2 sons who he was totally dedicated to Eric Christopher Hand and his wife Crystal Hand of Naples, FL, Alex Donovan Hand of MA, their mother Kimberly Hand Smith of Bristol, VA, 3 brothers Brian M. Hand of Eaton, NH, Michael David and his wife Laurie Hand of Nashport, OH, Walter Joseph and his wife Diane Hand of Effingham, NH, 3 sisters Carol and her husband Michael Renaccio of Cape Cod, MA, Sandra Marie and her husband Riley Cottingham of San Antonio, TX, Barbara Joan Hand of Cape Cod, MA, 2 grandchildren Isabella Marie and Hannah Noelle Hand and numerous nieces, Nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Private Services were held at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service in West Ossipee, NH. He was buried next to his father in Lakeview Cemetery, Freedom, NH.
