Mirror Lake-Walter Charles Boschen, 93, died June 7, 2015 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. Mr. Boschen was born August 8, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Herbert Bertrand Boschen and Emily Maude (Doscher) Boschen. He grew up in Brooklyn and earned his undergraduate degree at Columbia University where he studied journalism. He served in the United States Army Air Force from 1942-1945 as a cryptographer. Upon completing his Army Air Force service he joined Value Line, Inc. from which he retired in 1974 as Directing Editor of the Value Line Investment Survey. Mr. Boschen married Virginia Mae Jones on April 23, 1947 and they subsequently lived in Flushing, NY; Levittown, NY and Norwalk, CT before moving to Mirror Lake upon his retirement. Pre-Deceased by his wife of 44 years Virginia M. Boschen, he is survived by a daughter Evelyn R. Yoder and her husband David of Monroe, CT, a son Douglas C. Boschen and his wife Jeanne of Tilton, NH, a sister Virginia Kirch of Wolfeboro, two granddaughters Emily Yoder Reed and her husband Stefan of Jamaica Plain, MA, Sarah Beth Romanik and her husband David of West Chester, PA and a great granddaughter Cecilia. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday June 21 at the First Congregational Church, 115 South Main St., Wolfeboro.
