Maralynn (Crocker) Gustafson, of Wolfeboro, NH left this earthly planet after years of living with Parkinson’s disease. She was 80 years old. She is survived by her loving sisters, Lorraine Crocker of Wolfeboro and Debbie Caplin of Tuftonboro and her children, Jacquelyne DeVincent of Seattle and Stephen DeVincent of Copenhagen, Denmark. She also leaves behind her much loved niece, Diane Mullen of Winni Paw Station in Wolfeboro and several generations of nieces and nephews who always received birthday cards on time, without fail. Lynn, as she preferred to be called, is of third generation Wolfeboro stock, having been the granddaughter of Charlie Rouse and niece of Evelyn Abbott. She spent her adolescence in Waltham, MA and graduated from Waltham High in 1952. She was initially married to Jack DeVincent, also of Waltham and was later married to Albert Gustafson of Foxboro, MA in 1979 with whom she moved to Wolfeboro shortly thereafter. Lynn was foremost a lover of animals, volunteering at the Lakes Region Humane Society. She thrilled at seeing wildlife, whether it was in her own backyard or in Botswana and Zimbabwe. She was also an artist who excelled in painting detailed and realistic ceramic animal figurines. She was known for her beauty and winning smile as well as her fabulous cheesecakes. Lynn also enjoyed playing golf at the club and dining with her many friends. She will be greatly missed. Lynn’s memorial service will be at All Saints Episcopal Church Wednesday the 19th, at Noon. 258 South Main St., Wolfeboro, NH 03894. While Lynn was very fond of flowers, she was extremely supportive of Assistance Canine Training Services.
