Glenna B. (Scott) MacMartin, 86, of Wolfeboro, NH, formerly of Melrose, MA, died peacefully October, 8, 2015 at the Salem Haven Nursing Home, Salem, NH where she had resided for the past 5 years. Born March 30, 1929 in Wilton, ME where she grew up. Daughter of the late William J. Scott and Lela B. (Crafts) Scott. Glenna left Maine after High School to live in Boston, MA where she worked for the State Street Trust Co. and Brighams Ice Cream. She met her husband Edward in Boston while attending the young peoples group at the Arlington Street Church and they were married in June, 1952. They moved to Melrose , MA where they lived most of their adult lives and raised their four children there. They were members of the First Congregational Church. While living in Melrose she worked for the New England Memorial Hospital, Brighams Ice Cream and the First National Grocery Store. Later moving to Wolfeboro, NH where she and Ed lived for most of their retirement years. Glenna had worked for both Huggins Hospital and Hunter's IGA Grocery Store while living in Wolfeboro. Glenna is survived by her three sons, Bryan S. MacMartin of New Orleans, LA, Douglas E. MacMartin of Dry Ridge, KY and Paul A. MacMartin & Lisa A. Reale of Salem, NH and a daughter, Deborah R. MacMartin of Plymouth, MA. She is also survived by two brothers, Francis E. Scott of Readfield, ME, Norman E. Scott of Greene, ME and two sisters, Muriel I. Powers of Industry, ME and Linda L. McGuire of Waterville, ME. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Oct. 17 Saturday at the Lakeview Cemetery in Wolfeboro, NH followed by a reception and celebration of her life at the First Christian Church, North Main St.Wolfeboro. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro, NH, is in charge of the arrangements.
