Wolfeboro, NH-Pat Clarke (Priscilla Dean Owen) Passed away peacefully on April 1, 2016 surrounded by her family at her home in N. Wolfeboro, NH. She was 93 years of age. Born in Needham, MA, she was raised in Quincy, MA, where she met Warren, her high school sweetheart with whom she would be happily married for 71 years. As a young woman, Pat worked in Boston as a secretary, an experience that she loved to recall. After marrying Warren and raising their two sons in Medfield, MA, she had a long career as a popular secretary to the principal of Medfield High School. (1961-1983) She loved being involved with the students and stayed in touch with many of them after they graduated. After retiring, Pat and Warren moved to N. Wolfeboro where Pat was happy to work hard in her beautiful gardens. She also enjoyed attending local and regional concerts and was a member of the Friends of Music. Sharing meals, fun times and stories with old friends was among her greatest joys. Traveling throughout the country and also overseas was another activity that they both enjoyed. Many memories were made in N. Wolfeboro where she loved to have the whole family gather for holidays and vacations. Her home was an especially wonderful place for her grandchildren, and she was a special grandmother to them all. She is survived by her husband Warren, their two sons, David Clarke of Bristol, RI (and his wife Donna) Bill Clarke of Portsmouth, NH (and his wife Lucy) three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and her elder sister Jean Nelson of Spokane, WA, along with nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur Owen and his wife Isabelle, of Lakeville, MA. Donations may be made in her name to the Wolfeboro Public Library. There will be a celebration of her life in late June for family, friends and neighbors at their home. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro is assisting the family with the arrangements.
