Marianne Stanton

Marianne (Mitchell) Stanton, 83 of Forbes Hill Rd., Colebrook and formerly of Granite Rd., Ossipee, died Nov. 2, 2016 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.   Born in Laconia, NH September 13, 1933 daughter of the late Neal and Marjorie (Manning) Mitchell she was a long time resident of New Hampshire.   Marianne worked as an accountant for Kittery Trading Post for many years. She was very active in greyhound and other dog breeds rescue operations.   Pre-deceased by her husband Daniel in 1992, a son David and 2 sisters, Doris Newton and Patricia Grey. She is survived by 3 sons, Daniel of Rochester, Douglas of Rochester, Dennis of Littleton, CO, a daughter Dona Sparklin of Colebrook, 3 brothers Colin Williams of Belmont, Neal Mitchell of New London, CT, James Mitchell of Plymouth, a sister Norma Raymond of Voluntown, CT, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.   A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 10th at 2:00 PM                                            in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, on State Rd in Eliot, ME.
