Tamworth -- Charlotte Ann Dyer, 71, of Oak Lane, Tamworth died December 31, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in North Conway. Born in Portland, ME August 1945 daughter of the late Vernon W. and Clara (Delatorre) Dyer she had lived in North Conway and Tamworth most of her life. After attending Thompson School of Agriculture at UNH, Charlotte worked many years as a Veterinary Assistant for Hussey Veterinary Hospital in North Conway. Horses have always been a big part of her life and she has owned horses since she was in her 20’s. Her favorite job was working for “Little Hooves Tack Shop” in West Ossipee. In recent years she was very involved with the Tamworth Historical Society/History Center as a member of the archive committee organizing town-related materials for their collection, as well as a greeter and guide at the Center’s new home, the Hall-Dyer House. Charlotte lived in the Hall-Dyer House most of her life and knew much of the history of the house. She is survived by a brother Charles Dyer of Franklin, NH, a sister Silvia Poules of Springfield, MA and Bradenton, FL, a niece, Michele Massoia of Agawam, MA, a nephew, Darren Poules of CT, and great niece, Isabella Poules. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Ordination Rock Cemetery in Tamworth. Following the service, a celebration of her life will be held at the Hall-Dyer House at 35 Great Hill Road in Tamworth.
