R. Brooks South Jr.

Freedom, NH-R. Brooks South Jr., 81 of Farmer Lane, Freedom died unexpectedly March 27, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME.   Russell was born March 7, 1936 in Melrose, MA son of the late Russell and Evelyn (Pitman) South. Vacationing in the area for over 50 years he moved here 20 years ago from Framingham MA after his retirement. He loved the Ossipee area with its Lakes and Mountains.   He graduated from Melrose High School class of 1954. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Alpha Lodge in Framingham for 56 years.   Russell was a long time employee for Polaroid Corp. working as a Failure Analysis. Russell and his wife were very active with St Andrews in the Valley Church.   A Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM Saturday April 1, 2016 at St Andrews in the Valley Church, 678 Whittier Rd., Tamworth, NH. Followed by a reception at the church.   The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of West Ossipee, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.
