Agnes Theresa Powell

Wolfeboro-Agnes Theresa (Grote) Powell, 91 of Wolfeboro Commons Wolfeboro and Freedom, NH died June 23, 2017 at Applegate Gardens in Tuftonboro, NH.   Born Nov. 24, 1925 in Somerville, MA daughter of the late Carl and Henrietta (Netzer) Grote, she grew up in Somerville, MA, vacationed at her home in Freedom for many years before moving there permanently in 1992.   Agnes was a business woman with the Gillette Corp. and attended Northeastern University receiving a Bachelor’s degree while she was employed.   She was a parishioner of St. Katharine Drexel Church in Alton, volunteered at Huggins Hospital, loved animals, travelling, cruises, boating and enjoying her time at her home on Danforth Pond in Freedom, NH.   Predeceased by her husband James Powell and a son David Holohan she was the wonderful loving mother of Diane M. Holohan of Watertown, MA.   A funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday July 1, 2017 at St Katharine Drexel Church.
