Ann Theresa Hand

Freedom, NH-Ann Theresa (Donovan) Hand, 91 of Huckins Rd., died January 10, at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.   Born in Boston, MA September 16, 1926 daughter of the late Michael Joseph and Christina Mary (Butler) Donovan, she grew up in Charlestown, MA, raised her family in Walpole, MA and moved to Freedom with her family in the early 1970’s.   Ann was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Center Ossipee, loved working around the outside of her home, reading, loved watching Jeopardy, playing the piano and loved reminiscing with her family. She also vacationed in Myrtle Beach for many years was an advocate for the Freedom Land Conservation Trust and liked to travel. Some of her favorite places were Ireland, Moscow and the Amazon.   Pre-Deceased by her husband Walter Cushman Hand in 2004, a son Stephen Hand and a brother Timothy E. Donovan, survivors include 3 sons Brian M. Hand of Eaton, NH Michael D. and his wife Laurie of Ashland, OH, Walter J. and his wife Diane Hand of Effingham, NH, 3 daughters Carol A. and her husband Michael Renaccio of Bourne, MA, Sandra M. Cottingham of San Antonio, TX, Barbara J. Hand of Falmouth, MA a brother Michael A. Donovan of Naples, FL, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.   Visitation will be 8:30 to 10 AM Saturday January 13, at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home, 2395 White Mountain Highway, West Ossipee, NH.   A Funeral Mass will be 10:30 AM Saturday January 13, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Church 23 Moultonville Rd., Center Ossipee, NH.
