Charlotte Estelle Martinage age 77, formerly of Windham Maine, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024 while being cared for by her loving family. At the time of her passing she resided in West Ossipee N.H.. Charlotte was born May 11, 1947 to parents Edwin and Mildred (McLaughlin) Sanders. Charlotte grew up in Chelmsford MA, where she married James McAvinew of Westford and had 5 children together. After their divorce, Charlotte married Paul Martinage Sr. They were married 42 years before his passing in February of 2023.
Charlotte loved making memories with family and friends. She loved the outdoors, family camping trips, days at the beach, and family games of softball and volleyball. Nothing brought her more joy than seeing her family having fun together.
Charlotte is survived by her sisters Ethel Rondeau and her husband David, Gail Lipomi and her husband Sal. Rev. Frank Silva, David Silva, Robert Silva, Annmarie Marchand, Sandra Noel. Her children Donna Davis and her husband Gerald, James Mcavinew, Susan Anderson, Carol McAvinew and her husband Russell Graham. Susan Weber, Paul Martinage Jr. and his wife Sandy, David Martinage and his wife CJ, Nancy Martinage, and Robert Martinage. She also leaves behind 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews, and cousins. In-laws James and Judith Macdonald and Ruth Jackson. Also her good friend Pam Merrill among others.
Charlotte is predeceased by her husband Paul, son John McAvinew, siblings Shirley Wickens and James Silva, daughter Michelle Malcolmson, grandson Paul J. Martinage, and her best friend Allyson Coulombe.
The family would like to thank the care and support they received from Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice Care of Carroll County and Western Maine.
Upon Charlotte's request there will be no service. A celebration of life will be held in the fall for family and friends. If you would like to make a donation in her name, please consider The American Lung Association or Visiting Nurse Home and Hospice care of Carroll County and Western Maine.
