Duane Estelle Schluter

Duane Estelle Schluter of Freedom New Hampshire passed away peacefully after a brief illness on April 16th at the Mountain View Community in Ossipee.She was the daughter of Raymond and Doris Gorman. Duane was born in Somerville, Massachusetts and lived most of her life in Marshfield, MA before retiring to Freedom. After graduating from Newton High School, she spent many years doing secretarial work in various places. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, her 2 daughters Karen, and Gretchen , as well as a grandson, Marc. Duane leaves a sister Jean of Hanson, MA, 2 sons, Craig and his wife, Pamela of Wareham MA, and Kurt and his wife Lee of Lebanon N.H. Duane leaves 8 grandchildren , 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She especially enjoyed the company of her wonderful neighborhood friends with whom she often cooked for, played cards with, and worked together on many jigsaw puzzles. Duane spent time gardening, reading books from best seller lists and enjoying the views of her serene Round pond from her screened in porch.
