Wolfeboro- Edda W. Northacker, 78, of Sewall Road, died on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at her home.
Edda was born on January 25, 1947, in Coswig, Germany, daughter of the late Kurt and Marianne (Wilhelm) Wricke. Edda was raised in Germany before moving to the United States at the age of 21.
Edda worked as an executive secretary for Mercedes Benz North America for several years. She was known for her crafting talents. She could sew, crotchet, and knit. When her children were growing up, she would always make their Halloween costumes. She spent years as a Den Mother for her daughter, Ann’s Brownie Troop.
Edda loved to travel; she lived in Mexico for 7 years as well as in Brazil for 3 years. During her time in Mexico, she spent time learning the heritage and culture of the country so when company would come, she would offer them tours.
Edda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Eugene Northacker III; her daughter, Ann Virginia Blood and her husband, Edward of Tuftonboro; two grandchildren, Shealyn Thompson Saucier and her husband, Jacob of Effingham and Dylan Thompson; and her 17-month-old great-granddaughter, Lillian Eve Saucier. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved son, Eugene Northacker IV and her sister, Elke Wricke Scheuer.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 1:00pm- 3:00pm at the Baker Gagne Funeral Home, 85 Mill Street, Wolfeboro, NH.
Burial at Lakeview Cemetery will take place in the spring.
