Edwin Albert Wood

Conway, NH-Edwin A. Wood, 101 of Center Conway, NH died peacefully of natural causes in his own home September 16, 2019 under the care of his son John.   Born in Lynn, MA July 10, 1918 he was the son of the late Horace and Edith (Boothbay) Wood.   Edwin attended schools in Lynn, MA. He served in the Army during WWII with the Anti-Artillery Caravan from 1943 till 1945 serving throughout central Europe, Normandy, Northern Lacrose, Rhineland and Ardemas. He worked as an Oil Burner Technician for several companies. He enjoyed carpentry, the outdoors and traveling.   When he retired he travelled with his wife and son throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. They spent a lot of time in Tucson, AZ and Conway, NH where they resided.   Pre-deceased by his wife Eleanor V. (Starrett) Wood, he leaves a brother Frederic H. Wood of Conway, NH, daughter and son-in-law , Joan and Ken Thompson of Hamilton, MA, son John A. Wood of Conway, NH, his grandchildren Bonnie Mower, Richard Thompson and his wife Pamela, and his great grandchildren Jessee and Jacob Mower, Brigette, Zakary, James, Keely and OLivia Thompson.   A private Memorial Service will be held by the family.   The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of West Ossipee, NH is assisting the family with the arrangements.   Please share your condolences, messages, stories and sign an online guest book at www.baker-gagnefuneralhomes.com
