Sanbornville-Elizabeth “Liz” (Lemley) Nelson, 63 of 50 Governors Rd., Sanbornville, passed away after a long illness on May 14, 2019 at her home, with her close family and friends in attendance. Born in Middletown, CT September 5, 1955, daughter of Joan (Burke) Johnson and the late William Donald Lemley, she grew up in Madison, CT and lived most recently in Sturbridge, MA prior to moving to Sanbornville 6 years ago. Liz graduated from the New England Baptist School of Nursing as an RN in 1976, and worked in home care, especially enjoying home and community based nursing, most recently for Northern Human Services in Conway, NH. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed painting, creating stained glass art work, fishing, boating, and playing online word games, and having fun with her family. Pre-Deceased by her father, her mother passed away the day after Liz, she leaves her husband Ken of Sanbornville, a son Jeff Nelson and his fiancée Abbi Saffian of Rochester, a daughter Melissa and her husband Jack Cunliffe of Sanbornville, 3 sisters Jayne Lemley of Wolfeboro, Donna and her husband Chris Papastavrou of Waltham, MA, Laura Lemley of Laconia and the two lights of her life, her 2 grandchildren JP Cunliffe and Ethan Nelson. A Memorial Service will be held at Baker-Gagne Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at 2:00 PM.
