Evelyn Marie Hunt

Evelyn M (Foley) Hunt passed away peacefully at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine on March 31, 2019 with her husband and family by her side.   She was born on October 16, 1934 to Charles U. and Effie (Colby) Foley, Jr. in Newburyport, MA. A native of Newburyport, she was in the 1952 graduating class of Newburyport High School.   Evelyn enjoyed playing the organ, in her younger years participated in ice dancing and spent many years teaching and choreographing line dancing routines for the Foley Twin Line Dancers along-side her twin sister Emily.   She owned and operated Hunt’s High Street Shop in Newburyport, MA, provided private nursing services as a certified nursing assistant and was a member of the Eastern Star.   She was predeceased by her brothers Charles U Foley III, Donald W Foley, Dana W Foley and sisters Thelma Stanwood, Emily Brennan. Evelyn leaves her husband of 60 years Fred C Hunt, and a son James M Woodsom and wife Donna all of Mirror Lake, NH. She also leaves a brother David W Foley and wife Nancy of Newbury, MA. In addition, she leaves her beloved grandchildren; grandson, James M Woodsom Jr and wife Ashlee of Sandown, NH, grandson, Cabot T Woodsom, wife Abigail and great-grandson Wyatt J Woodsom of Belmont, NH and grand-daughter Olivia E Sheils and husband Justin of Plymouth, MA. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.   The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home in Wolfeboro, NH is in charge of arrangements.
