Florence Severence Hughes, 83 of Ossipee passed away December 24 at her home in Ossipee.
Florence was born September 22, 1941 in Ipswich, MA daughter of the late Donald and Jacqueline (Tremblay) Hazen. She had lived in Ipswich most of her life moving to Brentwood in 1997 and then to Wakefield, NH and eventually moved to Ossipee.
Florence worked as a graphic artist and eventually working in upper middle management for NYNEX. She was a talented artist doing tole paintings.
Pre-Deceased by her husband Daniel Edward Hughes JR and survived by her son Daniel Edward Hughes III of Ossipee, a daughter Melissa Hughes of Ossipee, a grand-daughter Addison Hughes of Ossipee, 2 brothers Donald Hazen of CT and FL, Robert Hazen of North Berwick, ME and sister Linda Austin of Chesapeake, VA.
Services will be in the spring. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Homes and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro and Ossipee, NH are assisting the family with the arrangements.
