Florence C. Riegel, 103, of Camp Hill, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, PA.

Born on April 23, 1921, in Los Angeles, CA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Horatio and Alice M. Chase, and she was the widow of H. Taylor Riegel.

Florence was a 1938 graduate of Collingdale High School. She was a dedicated homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a church secretary for many years at the Great Valley Presbyterian Church, Malvern, PA. "Floss" was very intelligent. She was an avid reader and when she couldn’t read as easily, she began to enjoy listening to audio books. She loved to travel and enjoyed her time spent in Scotland the most.

Florence is survived by a daughter, Deborah Barrett, of Camp Hill, PA, two sons, H. Taylor “Skip” (Laura) Riegel, Jr., of Abingdon, VA, and David (Elizabeth) Riegel, of Raymond, ME, a brother, Robert (Barbara) Chase, of Jeffersonville, IN, eight grandchildren: Suzanne (Mark) Gallihue, Robert Trotman, Timothy Riegel, Donald Riegel, John Riegel, Matthew Riegel, Amy (Anthony) Livings, and Bradley Barrett, and 13 great grandchildren: Taylor, Li, Teyah, Evan, Mason, Gavin, Caleb, Lauren, Matthew, Collin, Alexandra, BrookeLynn and Natalie.

In addition to her husband H. Taylor, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Trotman and four siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Baker-Gagne Funeral Home, 85 Mill St, Wolfeboro, NH 03894. Burial will follow the service in Townhouse Cemetery, Tuftonboro, NH.
