Frederick Marsh Raban, 79, of Brookfield, NH, formerly of Nashua, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. He was born on January 2, 1941 in New Haven, CT to the late Alfred and Katherine (Barnett) Raban. He grew up in Hamden, CT and raised his family in Nashua before moving to Brookfield in 2010. Fred ran his own graphic design business, Knollsedge Design, for 13 years before going on active duty with the United States Army, where he was stationed in NYC, DC, Bosnia and Germany. He retired in January of 2001 with the rank of Master Sergeant. While in Nashua, he was an active member of the VFW and Nashua Fish and Game Association. Fred loved being outdoors and he spent many happy hours fishing in the stream on his Brookfield property. He is survived by his wife Susan, daughters Kristin and Meredith, and their families. His family is grateful to the staff of Mountain View Community of Ossipee, NH for their compassionate care during his stay. Following cremation, a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Friends of Mountain View.
