Ossipee, NH-Gayle Ann (DuBois) Johnson, 72 of Route 28, Ossipee died June 22, at Wolfeboro Bay Center in Wolfeboro. Gayle was born April 17, 1946 in Poughkeepsie, NY daughter of the late Dr. Stanley Phillip and Eleanor (Hubbard) Dubois. Gayle earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Berklee College of Music and her Masters in Multicultural Music Education from Lesley University. She was a music educator in the Silver Lake Public Schools, Carver Public Schools and Duxbury Public Schools. In addition, she taught private piano lessons and played in a band. Gayle has lived in Ossipee for over a decade moving here from Plympton, MA. She attended the First Congregational Church in Center Ossipee and was a member of the weekly bible study from the First Baptist Church in Wolfeboro. Gayle loved music, animals, camping, travelling and gardening. Survivors include her husband William Johnson, a son Todd Szymczak and daughter in-law, Jayme of Duxbury, MA, a daughter Heather Szymczak of Norwood, MA, 3 grandchildren; Emelda, Reilly and Peyton and 2 nephews; Michael Stanger and Scott Stanger of Nashua, NH. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11am on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Wolfeboro NH (116 Center Street, Wolfeboro, NH).
