Gordon Leroy Joslyn JR, 69, of Birch Rd., Wolfeboro, NH, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. Leroy was born in Woodsville, NH April 24, 1952, to the late Gordon Leroy and Marjorie (Ross) Joslyn. Leroy was raised in Merrimack, NH, where he pursued most of his shenanigans. He then lived in Brookline, NH where he started a family with his first wife. After, he spent many years living in Lisbon, NH, before moving to Wolfeboro in 1998 to be with and marry his wife, Doreen. Doreen was his home and Wolfeboro is where he lived out the rest of his years. Leroy worked as a truck driver for Northeast Chem-X for many years, but that wasn’t his only job over the years. He had many, many, many stories to go along with each job and each aspect of his life. Some were true and some were just part of the constant jokes he had to tell. His sense of humor was dry, loaded with sarcasm and very grand. He would often use his humor to charm the women. We all know he loved to flirt! Even during his last days, he didn’t hesitate to ask one of the nurses to come watch TV with him. You could not go anywhere with him without at least one person knowing him no matter where you went. Leroy also had a great love for motorcycles, especially Harleys. He had many in his lifetime and would go for a ride every chance he had. Motorcycles were his sanctity. On his bike was where he felt most at peace. His last ride will be in his beautiful urn on the back of his motorcycle with his nephew, Wally, so he can finally ride free. Leroy was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Doreen (Cassidy) Joslyn in 2012; 2 brothers: Glade Joslyn and Donald Dean Joslyn and 2 sisters: Rose Joslyn and Carol Jones. Leroy is survived by his longtime companion, Janine Lawrence of Belmont, NH; 2 sons: Adam Z. Joslyn and his love, Ami, of Wilton, NH and Donald D. Joslyn II; a daughter: Alyssa Lee McKinney and her husband, Justin, of Deering, NH: 2 stepdaughters: Ashley Cleland and her husband, Josh, of Wolfeboro, NH and Krista Enderson and her love, Zack, of Arundel, ME; 2 sisters; Charlene Ruddick of Milford, MA and Ardis Joslyn of Woodsville, NH. Leroy is also survived by his grandchildren. He was Puppa to Cheyenne and Charlie, of Deering, NH; Grampa to Anna and Deanie; and Grampy Lee to Ellianna and Sophia. He had many nieces and nephews and countless friends. He was adored by many. The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wolfeboro is assisting the family with the arrangements. Leroy’s daughter, Alyssa, will announce the arrangements at a later date. To view an online memorial, leave a message of condolences or for more information go to: www.baker-gagnefuneralhomes.com
