Helen S. Tapley, 93, resident of Wolfeboro Bay and a longtime resident of Greenland, NH, died on December 14, 2019. Helen was born June 1, 1926 the daughter of Everett Street Sr. and Jennie Hansen Street in Newburyport, Massachusetts. She was a devout christian serving her Lord faithfully. Helen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was very proud to have helped raise “God’s Perfect Children.” She was a bright and shining light full of joy and energy. She was everyone’s “Nan,” always smiling and looking for the positive in every circumstance and person. Helen is survived by 2 daughters, Jennifer Tapley Fisk and Pamela Tapley Brousseau, her stepson George Tapley Jr., 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, a sister, Flossy Carlino and a brother Harold Street. She lived a full life. She was an extraordinarily talented mezzo soprano whose skills were known and respected throughout the seacoast area. She was a successful business woman with an expansive career. She was the only woman chosen to represent Pease Airforce Base in Washington, DC and her name appears in the book, They Came to Fish. She was an entrepreneur who was the owner and proprietor of Liberty Hill Campground in Greenland, NH. Above all things she loved her family and was a proud matriarch who brought us all together. She was a giver, never knowing how to say, “No” to those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of love, acceptance, generosity and positivity. She will forever be missed and cherished for her love and kindness and will forever be in our hearts.
