Box 2295 Wolfeboro, NH 03894 Mill St. Rt. 16 Wolfeboro, NH West Ossipee, NH (603) 569-1339 (603) 539-3301 www.baker-gagnefuneralhomes.com Jennifer Tapley Fisk, 73, resident of Amherst, New Hampshire, passed in peace on September 27, 2020 with her husband and children. “Jenny”, was born December 5, 1946 the daughter of George Tapley, Sr. and Helen Street Tapley. A devout Christian who found comfort and strength in God’s word and His promises, Jenny was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her unforgettable, contagious laugh and optimistic soul brought joy and love to family, friends and casual acquaintances. Her favorite activities were socializing, rocking in a good solid rocking chair with a Pepsi and enjoying His blessings. Her nonjudgmental love and optimistic view of life will be greatly missed. Jenny is survived by her husband of 54 years, Norman, her children Jeffery and Bethany, her son in law Jeff, and her four beloved grandchildren Fernando, Ana, Maria and Jenny. Her surviving siblings include her brother, George, and sister, Pamela, with in-laws Jane, Linda and David, Jeanne and Frank, and Bill. She leaves behind an extended family of aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her full life began at Liberty Hill in Greenland, New Hampshire on the family farm. As the oldest of 3 children, she was the epicenter of laughter and fun for the entire extended family. She was actively involved in musicals and her church where she met her husband in a youth group when they were “just kids”. It marked the beginning of a blessed and fruitful love affair of more than 6 decades. Driven by her experience of living with and fostering a special needs sister in-law, she became a strong advocate and community activist for the rights of disabled individuals. She earned a bachelor and two master degrees. Her education and life experiences formed the foundation of a remarkable teaching career which began as a special education teacher at Easter Seals and ultimately was part of the pioneering effort of inclusion for the state of New Hampshire. She spent many years as a beloved pre-school and 3rd grade teacher in Raymond, NH. Her love and advocacy touched many children and their families and earned the love and respect of her peers and the families she served. She was a fantastic wife, mother and grandmother who modeled the importance of loving and caring families. This principle was inspired by the loving, nurturing environment modeled by her grandparents during her childhood. As the matriarch she ensured that each of her children and grandchildren knew how special and loved they were. “Grandma’s” grandchildren were the sunshine of her life. Her unconditional love flowed freely and easily during summer vacations, holidays and countless long distance trips to attend graduations, schools plays, concerts, sporting events, religious milestones, and events important to her grandchildren. Jenny leaves behind a legacy of love, patience, acceptance, positivity and generosity. She will be sorely missed and her gifts of unconditional love, integrity, faith and selflessness will remain foundational values for all lives she influenced. Jenny will be laid to rest on Sunday October 25, 2020 in Greenland, NH on Cemetery Rd at 11am.
