Kathleen Marie Clayton

January 31, 1944 — August 10, 2025

Tamworth—With great sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Kathleen M. Clayton, who peacefully left us on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the age of 81.

Kathleen was born on January 31, 1944, in Brockton, MA. She lived a life full of love, kindness, and selflessness.

Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and was a pillar of strength to all who knew her. She was a gardening enthusiast and loved cooking. Her generosity and warm spirit touched the lives of many. Kathleen had many jobs as a secretary and worked in retail for most of her career. She was most proud of her job working at The Rugged Bear, where she would open the store early for a special-needs family, using her own time so they could shop earlier than other customers.

Kathleen is survived by her dedicated husband, Kenneth W. Clayton; her daughters, Colleen, Lisa, and Maureen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Cynthia Sabine and her husband, Marc of Wareham, MA. She was predeceased by her parents, Willam and Marie (Petrone) Rogers and her brother, William Mark Rogers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen’s name may be made to the Tamworth Community Nurse of to Hospice of Southern Maine.
