Marilyn “Lynn” (Sheehan) Wheelock, 77, of Silver Lake, N.H., passed away peacefully on July 11th, 2018, after complications and failing health due to Alzheimer’s at Wolfeboro Bay in Wolfeboro, N.H. Born on September 4th, 1940, in Lynn, M.A.,she was immediately adopted by Mildred and Jerry Sheehan, along with herbiological brother, Norman, and they were given a wonderful childhood onWindsor Avenue in Lynn, M.A. She attended Lynn English High School, whereher nickname was “Red”, and graduated in 1958. She married Robert Wheelock onSeptember 2nd, 1961, and together they raised three children on Chisholm Roadin Kingston, N.H. They divorced in 1981, and she went on to work at variousjobs, including The Ships Wheel in Nottingham, N.H., and Hampstead Hospital inHampstead, N.H., where she made lifelong friends. Her love of gardeningmade any place that she lived look like better homes and gardens. She began herown cleaning business and would befriend the elderly folks that she cleanedfor, bringing them salads, snacks and sweets. She was known for her outgoingfriendly kind and caring ways. In 1987 she discovered and met her biologicalsiblings, that she never realized she had, when a sister, Joan Driscoll, camesearching for her. It was a whirlwind of “catch up!” In 2002 she wasinvolved in a horrific head-on automobile accident on Route 125 in Barrington,N.H., in which all 4 people in the other vehicle were killed on impact. Shespent a significant amount of time in hospitals and rehab facilities undergoingnumerous operations. She was forced to retire and was able to enjoy sometraveling. She was predeceased by her adoptive parents,Mildred and Jerry Sheehan, as well as her biological parents, Augustus andZelma Fitzgerald. Also her brother, Norman Sheehan, brother, RobertMontgomery, sister, Joan Driscoll, as well as former husband, Bob Wheelock, andher dear nephew, Scott Sheehan. She is survived by her daughter, CindyBuffelli, of Silver Lake, N.H., son, Brian Wheelock and wife Sung, of Sandown,N.H., son, Gary Wheelock and wife Kathy, of Melrose, M.A., grandsons KyleBuffelli of Silver Lake, N.H., Michael Eno of Sandown, N.H., Ryan and KevinWheelock of Melrose, M.A., sister Audrey Emmons of Derry, N.H., sister FrancineCook of North Stratford, N.H., sister-in-law Adele Raskin of Peabody, M.A.,along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. She also leaves behindlifelong special friends Pam and Bill McDill of Exeter, N.H., Margaret and RonSimone of Naples, F.L., Al and Joyce Henson of Epping, N.H., Pat Carrier ofWinter Haven, F.L., and Loretta White of Idaho. The family would like to thank specialfriend, Lu Feci, of Rochester, N.H., as well as the wonderful home caregiversof Abundant Blessings of Sanbornville, N.H., for their help in keeping Lynn athome in Silver Lake for as long as possible. They would also like tothank the wonderful nurses and staff at Wolfeboro Bay for their excellent andcompassionate care during this difficult journey. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 4th,2018, at The First Congregational Church of Kingston in Kingston, N.H.
