Margaret Bashe

Melvin Village, NH-Margaret (McVarish) Bashe, 91 of Governor Wentworth Highway, Melvin Village passed away June 2, at Mountain View Community in Ossipee, NH.   Born August 16, 1927 in Fallon, Nevada daughter of the late John and Alberta R. (Jones) McVarish she lived in Armonk, NY prior to moving to Melvin Village in 1985.   Peg attended Barnard College in New York City. She was the Treasurer of the Tuftonboro Association, the curator of the Tuftonboro Historical Society Museum, a friend and volunteer at the Tuftonboro Library and a member of the Tuftonboro Hikers.   Pre-deceased by her husband Charles J. Bashe in 2002 and 2 brothers Iam McVarish, Donald McVarish , she leaves 3 sons Lawrence Edwin Bashe of West Springfield, NH, Donald Thomas Bashe of White Plains, NY, David Michael Bashe of Rensselaer, NY, 3 daughters Patricia Eileen Alessio of Hungington Station, NY, Carla Marie Theimer of Beaver Creek, OH, Karen B. Crandall of Rockland, MA, 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.   Visitation will be 7-9 PM Friday June 7 at the Baker-Gagne Funeral Home, 85 Mill St., Wolfeboro, NH. A funeral mass will be 11:00 AM Saturday June 8 at St. Katharine Drexel, 40 Hidden Springs Rd., Alton, NH.
