Michael W. O'Rourke, 76, of Sebring, FL and Tamworth, NH, passed away on September 8, 2023, at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH.
He was born on July 6, 1947, in Bronx, NY, to the late Joseph and Geraldine O'Rourke.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Robin, son, Brett Emanuel (JoAnna), daughters Kayla O'Rourke (Sam) and Kelsie Morales (Frankie) and his five cherished grandchildren: Rylee, Emmalee, Mason, Ellie, and Myah; sisters Pat O'Rourke, Maureen VanBrookhoven, and brother Joseph O'Rourke, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army, specifically the 82nd Airborne and 101st divisions during the Vietnam War., Mike worked at Yale University until his retirement. Mike enjoyed playing rugby for the Rockaway, NY Fishheads and assisting Madison Rugby Club.
A Military burial September 19, 2023 will take place at The New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, NH.
Memorial Mass will take place July 6, 2024 in Killingworth, CT.
