Rene Emile Doucette

Rene E. Doucette, 92 affectionately known as “Mr Fix It” by the children at the Wolfeboro Area Children’s Center, passed away June 5, 2022 at his home in Wolfeboro. Born in Lowell, MA March 16, 1930 son of the late Emile and Alice (Menard) Doucette, he lived in Lowell, MA prior to moving to Wolfeboro. He first came to Wolfeboro in 1965 to his mother in laws camp with his wife. In 1980 they bought a camp of their own. In 1995 they moved here full time. Prior to moving to Wolfeboro he worked at a 5 & !0 cent store, then a production equipment mechanic Ford Motors. From there he worked for a company making pressure transducers for the air force and fuel level censors for NASA. He started working at the Children’s Center in 1998 as a building and grounds maintenance person. Rene was predeceased by his wife Joyce Lillian (Ash) Doucette and leaves a son Victor Doucette, a brother Maurice Doucette, a siter Teresa Labbel, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. At his request there will be no services. He will be buried with his wife at St Joseph’s Cemetery in Chelmsford, MA.
