Roger George Campbell, 101 of Cross Neck Rd., Tuftonboro, NH passed away July 8, 2023 at Mountain View Community in Ossipee, NH.
Born July 18, 1921 in Central Falls, RI son of the late Joseph Wilfred and Alexandrine (Birube) Campbell, he grew up in Central Falls, lived in Attleboro, MA and moved to Tuftonboro 25 years ago.
George served his country in the Army with the OSS (Special Forces) during WWII and he received the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor. He worked as a Lace Weaver at Central Lace in Central Falls. In Attleboro he was a parishioner at St Joseph's Church.
Pre-Deceased by his wife Dorothy (Kelly) Campbell he leaves a son and daughter in-law Scott and Marie Campbell of Tuftonboro, 2 grandchildren Jared and Adam Campbell and a great-grandson Charlie Campbell.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA at a later date.
The Baker-Gagne Funeral Home of Wolfeboro is assisting the family with the
